Ron, deletion 5q is a good thing when you have MDS, though it doesn't sound that way. One of the front line drugs, Lenalidomide (Revlimid) works better for people with that chromosome abnormality than for those without it!:)

For del 5q, the ratio for "working" is about 2/3 (66 per cent effective).:cool:
