The Aplastic Anemia and Myelodysplasia Association of Canada (http://aamac.ca/) (AAMAC) has announced a free Patient Education Day to be held in Toronto on Saturday, September 29, 2012.

Aplastic anemia, MDS, and PNH patients, their family members, and interested healthcare professionals are invited to attend, to hear presentations by experienced medical professionals. Breakfast, coffee breaks, and lunch will be provided. Child care will be available for children aged 4 to 12. Children must be pre-registered.

In conjunction with the Patient Education Day on September 29, 2012, AAMAC (http://aamac.ca/) and the Life Beyond Limits Coalition (http://www.mdslifebeyondlimits.org/the-initiative/coalition/) invite you to attend a photo exhibit and reception the preceding night.

Facing MDS: When Every Moment Counts

Celebrate the Canadian launch of this inspirational photography exhibit. The photo essay depicts the active lives and enduring spirit of people living with MDS from Canada and around the world.

Renowned photojournalist Ed Kashi (http://www.edkashi.com/), who captured the inspiration photographs, will speak about how he brought these hopeful and motivational stories to life through the lens. A Canadian patient featured in the exhibit will talk about her journey with MDS and what it means to be part of this unique experience.
