The 3rd annual Houston 2016 Frontier Fiesta and March for Marrow 5K & Walk (https://friendraising.donorpro.com/campaigns/303), a fundraising and awareness event to benefit the AA&MDSIF (http://www.aamds.org/), will take place on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at the University of Houston (http://www.uh.edu) central campus in Houston, TX. It will be a day of fun connecting with fellow patients and families.
March for Marrow was previously known as Hope, Steps & A Cure.
The event will include:
March for Marrow Walk
March for Marrow 5K Run
Brave Little Soles kids run
Group photo
Silent auction
Celebrity speakers
Awards
Moment of Remembrance
Lunch with purchase of a $5 bracelet/laniard
You can register for the event (https://friendraising.donorpro.com/campaigns/303/register) and/or donate to one of the fundraising teams (https://friendraising.donorpro.com/campaigns/303/search_team). Please help spread the word about this annual fundraiser. 100% of all donations through go directly to the AA&MDSIF.
Information
Walkers can choose either the 1-mile or 2-mile route.
Onsite registration begins at 8:00am for the Walk and for the 5K Run. The 5K Run starts at 9:30am. The program and Walk will begin at 9:45am. You can pick up packets ahead of time on March 24 or 25.
Frontier Fiesta (http://www.uh.edu/fiesta/) festivities are from noon to 9:00pm.
The registration fee is $25 per person for the Walk and/or $30 for the 5K Run. Virtual Walkers (supporters who won't be at the event) are the same price: $25. Kids 12 and students have discounted prices.
Each Walker and Virtual Walker is encouraged to set a personal fundraising goal and invite friends and family members to sponsor you online.
