A very interesting and useful article about the iron chelation effect of Promacta/eltrombopag. Particularly interested in this due to my mother having serious trouble tolerating Exjade but has maintained on Promacta, and has seen her ferritin levels drop.

If I am not mistaken, it's just not the ferritin levels in the blood, but how much your cells absorb the iron? Promacta stops cells from absorbing iron.
