Los Angeles Hope, Steps & A Cure Walk 2012 (https://friendraising.towercare.com/Markslist/site/displaySite.do?siteIdCode=WJ09MSYH), a fundraising and awareness event to benefit the AA&MDSIF (http://www.aamds.org/), will take place on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at Shoreline Village (http://www.shorelinevillage.com/) in Long Beach, CA. It will be a day of fun connecting with fellow patients and families. The event will include inspirational speakers, the Walk, a 5K Run (see next post below), a silent auction, and light refreshments.

Marrowforums members are invited to support Team Marrowforums (https://friendraising.towercare.com/Markslist/campaign/display/profile.do?campaignId=7948) and help spread the word about this annual fundraiser.

The Los Angeles Hope, Steps & A Cure Walk and 5K Run were both very successful.

More than 345 people participated in the Walk, with 24 walk teams. There were over 110 runners in the 5K Run.

Best of all, the event raised over $80,000 for the AA&MDSIF's programs and services!

Please enjoy the photos below, a video clip of the Walk (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eCbtxV20Xds), and the talk by UCLA football player Luke Gane (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u5SoFtCNgTU).
