Ann

I am so sorry for the loss of your father. A death of a parent is so very hard. You have my prayers for the healing to begin. Remember his strengths and memories. Take care.

So sorry to hear this, it is a very difficult time. May memories of the good times begin to fill your day in the months to come.

Warm regards,
Debbie

Just to clarify something so no one thinks we "gave up". Two wks prior to his death, we were told his marrow was no longer producing any cells whatsoever, red OR white. We were given the option (he was totally incoherent and unable to make his own decisions) to continue giving him transfusions every three days to prolong his life another 3 months, or let him go. We knew he would not want to live like that.

annm,

Nobody can second-guess you for making the decision that had to be made. You didn't ask to be put in that position -- nobody would -- but I admire your courage and thank you for letting us know what happened.
