Community Staph Infection

My 2nd. week of Dacogen infusions was canceled this past week due to an infection. I had 3 large sores to come on my legs. they looked like risin's, but with a lot of sweeling and very red. They did a biosopy and it was a community staph Infection caused by a fungus I probably picked up on the farm. I've had 10 days of antibotics and it has all healed up but one on my leg. This is my first infection I've had, so I guess I'm lucky.

Staph Infections

A staph infection you have to watch out for is CA-MRSA. Comes up like a large sore boil - large with a yellow top. They almost have to heal by themselves - but they can abcess, as one did on me. Very painful and very slow healing.

My husband had 3 sores

Kert had two to come on one leg and one on the other about 6 mo. ago. He still has one that hasn't healed completely. he took 2 rounds of antibotics.
they took a biopsey and said it was community staph.
