MDS and Pittsfield, Massachusetts
 

about 2 years ago i was diagnosed with myelofibrosis. i had a BMT on June 30, 2004. the BMT was a success. I am still on immunosuppressants and prednisone for gvhd of the liver but am recovering. recently another woman from Pittsfield, Mass contacted me and told me that she has multiple myeloma. She also knows of 2 other people from Pittsfield who have blood disorders. we are wondering if there are more of us. we are both in our 50's. is something going on in Pittsfield, was the G. E. plant that was there when we grew up the culprit? .. thanks, michele nichols
