MDS Patient...new to Forum
 

Hello to all,

I was diagnosed with MDS around February. I try to learn all I can about the disorder. I initially was treated with Aranesp, then in August my doctor recommeded the onset of Decagen treatments. A mediport was surgically implanted to make treatment easier. I hated it at first, but have definitely had blessings from it.

The first round was for 5 days, which eventually landed me in the hospital for transfusions and antibiotics. Second round was reduced to three treatments. I have just completed my third round, this week.

I will candidly say that the initial report of MDS really knocked me for a loop. I do think that my attitude is better, but I still need work on that area.

I will be happy to share what little I have experienced.
