Vidaza side effects: enlarged spleen
 

My mom just finished her first round of Vidaza treatment. The number of blasts in the peripheral blood has decreased dramatically. However, her spleen has significantly increased in size by the end of the 6-7 day of treatment with Vidaza. While doctors are looking into the different reasons as to why this happened, I found out that splenomegaly (enlarged spleen) is listed as one of the side effects of Vidaza. So, I was wandering if anyone else has experienced this side effect of Vidaza and if yes, then how it was treated?
I would appreciate any response or suggestion.
