Health insurance webinars, October 2009

The Aplastic Anemia & MDS International Foundation (AA&MDSIF) will hold two webinars on health insurance in October 2009:

For MDS patients: MDS and Your Health Insurance

Thursday, October 15th, 3pm to 4:15pm Eastern time (noon to 1:15pm Pacific time)

Description:
Medicare and other health insurance coverage can be confusing and worrisome, especially when Medicare or the private insurance company refuses to pay for the treatment you need. In this session, we will help you understand coverage rules and how to take steps to get your treatment covered by Medicare or your insurer. We will also highlight various prescription assistance programs that can be a resource for you as an MDS patient or the caregiver of an MDS paient. Plenty of time will be left at the end of the session for questions.
