Day 3160!

Hi all -

I've been reading around the site and decided to post. I was diagnosed with SAA on my tenth birthday. My brother was a complete match and my transplant was set for June. All in all, I was very blessed with great doctors, family, and as much faith as a 10 year old can have. :)

I'm very healthy now. Other than some really cute scars (HA) from my broviacs no one would ever know what I had been through.

I wanted to post a little hope. And encouragement.. for all of you dealing with the illnesses of your children, spouses, friends, and other loved ones - thank you. You are the driving force behind their recovery. For those fighting the good fight you have my respect and prayers.

Much love to all of you - feel free to message/email me with questions/venting/any thing I can do to help. I may be almost 10 years removed from this but I refuse to forget when so many other people are still fighting.

Thank you for sharing your experience.
Knowing that sameone is at 3160 day after transplant is good case for thinking and to get ready to transplant.

Taylor - thanks so much for your post.
My son was 3 when he was diagnosed - he is just over a year out of transplant. It is so great to hear your life is normal. I worry about what this is going to bring for his future.
Thanks so much for the hope you bring!
