The meeting was excellent.
Dr. O’Connell is an excellent speaker for an audience of patients and caregivers. She covered the basics of MDS, current treatments other than transplants, and the latest new and promising developments. The topic of transplants was covered by Dr. Mojtaba Akhtari, also a good speaker for a lay audience. Both physicians answered all of the questions posed by attendees. Patients also learned about living with MDS by talking to other patients. The afternoon session focused on health tips and on the MDS Foundation's Building Blocks of Hope program, comprised of printed materials, online resources, and an iOS or Android app. |
All times are GMT -4. The time now is 09:43 AM. |
