The Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto, Ontario

We are pleased to invite you to this interactive patient, families and health care meeting. The meeting will focus on understanding the diseases, treatment, transfer of patients to adult centers and future directions. The clinical and research activities of the Marrow Failure and Myelodysplasia Program at SickKids will also be discussed.

Examples of marrow failure disorders and MDS:
Acquired (e.g. Aplastic anemia), Genetic (e.g. Fanconi anemia, Shwachman-Diamond syndrome, Congenital amegakaryocytic thrombocytopenia Dyskeratosis congenita Diamond Blackfan anemia, Kostmann neutropenia, Cyclic Neutropenia, Barth syndrome, Glycogen storage disease Ib, Myelokathexis, Thrombocytopenia with absent radii, Familial thrombocytopenia), myelodysplastic syndromes
