smurfy,

Good luck with your transplant. Pack your most comfortable clothes, and bring along something to do when you're awake and bored, like books or a computer, plus paper and pens so you can take notes and keep track of questions you have for the doctors.

You'll feel better some days and worse some days. Remember that everyone there wants to help you, so let the nurses and doctors know how you feel and what concerns you. If something hurts, don't be shy about asking for painkillers.

Do you have family members or close friends who can spend time with you in the hospital? It helps to have that type of support, and family members can help you listen to the doctor and take notes.

Please keep us up to date on how you're doing. Many of us have been through transplants, are facing one, considering one, or having one right now. It helps to know you aren't alone.
