Better outcome after SCT
Hi All,
The outcome after SCT is better for each year since the monitoring of chemotherapeuteutic agents is more exact, they use reduced-intensity conditioning in older and less healthy patients and so on: http://checkorphan.getreelhealth.com...-blood-cancers Kind regards Birgitta-A |
I think one of the most important factors is the ever-increasing knowledge about preventing side effects like infections, and treating them when they occur. In other words, when a life-threatening illness requires risky treatment, the key is to reduce the risk of the treatment.
Increased knowledge also lets physicians be smarter about knowing who is a good transplant candidate and who is not. |
Thanks, Birgitta---It was nice to read a positive article.;)
