+ 13 days post transplant( MUD transplant 10/10 match)

Dear All,
My two year old son had MUD transplant on 2nd July,2014 from 10/10 match. He is patient of Aplastic anemia. Everything is fine and there is no any complications, no vomiting at all, no diaria, no high fever. On day + 7 his WBC count was 100 and was constant at 100 till +9 days. On day +10 days it was 200 and till +13 days it is 200. Doctor says its normal but its cell are growing at slow rate. They will wait for till +14 days, and then they will give some injection for fast growth.Good news is that, our son is taking normal breakfast, lunch and dinner from day + 5 only and also there is no fever also.Doctor says its normal but now we are worried how much time it will take. Also, one doctor said his platelet recovery is good.Kindly suggest please, is it usual.

Regards,
Arnav Father.

Hi Arnav, glad to hear your son is doing great. From what I've seen on here its frequent that patients need a shot of neuprogen or something to get the WBC cells going. Sounds like your son is doing great and and wish him a speedy recovery.
