This is some encouraging news for higher risk patients. When I emailed Dr. Guillermo Garcia-Manero a few months ago about this regimen, he was very pleased with the results, especially for those that went on to transplant.

Here are the highlights that I saw:

85% overall response rate with 76% complete remission rate
Median survival at a median of 82 week follow-up was 82 weeks

Hi Dan,
Very interesting article with the best response rate I have seen :). The problem is that they don't tell us how many of the patients that had MDS. As far as I understand most of the patients had AML.
