Reticulin Fibrosis

Hi,

I hope someone can help me with this. I'm a little bit panicked!

My last BMB indicated that my reticulin fibrosis had increased from trace to 2+ . The doctor was able to get a good aspirate, which seems counter to fibrosis??

The core sample from my biopsy was poor. Could that have affected the results of this stain?

Can fibrosis be seen with AA or does this push me into MDS and beyond?

Reticulin fibrosis

Hi Hopeful,
Reticulin fibrosis is more common in MDS than in AA but you know that the most important sign of that your disease is less malign is low blast cells. I have severe fibrosis since dx 2006 but not increased blasts and manage well so far with supportive therapy.
Kind regards
Birgitta-A
