The Metro DC Hope, Steps & A Cure Walk, a fundraising and awareness event to benefit the
AA&MDSIF, will be held on Sunday, July 11, 2010 in Bethesda, Maryland, in association with the
AA&MDSIF 2010 Patient & Family Conference. If you will be attending the conference or will be in the Washington area, don't miss this opportunity to connect with other patients and their families and friends and support the cause we all share.
Fundraising, awareness, and donations
The purpose of the walk is to raise funds for the AA&MDSIF's programs and services and to raise awareness about bone marrow failure diseases.
To donate to the AA&MDSIF in honor of the walk:
1. Go to the Team Marrowforums fundraising page.
2. Click the button.
3. Fill out payment information.
(All proceeds go to the AA&MDSIF. The
Marrowforums website does not accept donations.)
Participating

Marrowforums on July 11.
The walk will follow the historic
Capital Crescent Trail, once the Georgetown Branch rail line of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad.
There will be both a 1-mile route and a longer 3-mile route, both starting at the Bethesda Hyatt Regency, the conference hotel. Everyone is welcome to register and participate; you don't have to be a conference attendee. Encourage your friends and family to support the walk!

5:00pm: registration and T-shirt pickup
6:30pm: walk begins
How to register for the walk:1. Go to the AA&MDSIF Firstgiving page.
2. Click "Register for an event".
3. Select the "Metro DC Hope, Steps & A Cure Walk" event.
Cost:Walk registration is free for AA&MDSIF 2010 Patient & Family Conference attendees.
Walk registration is $25 for other participants and for "virtual walkers" (supporters not attending but walking in spirit).
