NO NO NO, THEY ARE NOT! If he were my father, I would have him to another doctor or something if I had to hogtie him or something, anything. I would do whatever it takes to get him some help to live. I'm sorry, but it sounds like you, the doctors and everyone are throwing up their hands and saying "oh well, the disease has got him, let him die".
