Despite the reservations of my local doc, the folks at NIH, even while acknowledging the lack of data, were strongly in favor of chelation.

There's data on the Exjade package insert that compares the side effects of Desferal and Exjade, and Desferal definitely wins that competition. But the greater convenience of the former is hard to beat -- if you're in the 80% that doesn't have a problem.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
