Dear Karen,
What a fabulous experience! So much of what was conveyed in the article reflects my own experience when I met my donor. She never considered backing out. She said, "It was the right thing to do. If people like me don't help people like Ruth, who's going to do it?" We had an instant bond.
I wish you continued success with your recovery and many good times with Michael--and Mary!
