regarding Hb count
Hello
One of my known is suffering from aplastic anemia. He is 9 years old. His treatment, ATG with cyclosporin started on 5th feb, 2014. Now after 3 months his ANC count has improved from 250 to 752, platelets has improved from 5000 to 15000 as compared to the condition before ATG. But he is getting blood transfusion every 20-25 days. What can we expect from this condition regarding the improvement. How much time will it take for complete reponse? If neutrophils are being formed by bone marrow then why it is taking time for RBC formation? Please guide us.
