Post Transplant 8 years: Doing Very Well!

Hello everyone,
I cannot believe it?s been 8 years since my transplant for MDS. 2017-2025
I don?t know if I should still be on this forum since I?m leading a very normal life; no doctor visits and only checking my blood counts for my annuals. I?ve mostly forgotten all the medical words, I used to run them off so naturally.

Ruth, Hopeful, Marlene and John, Rarity, John T (I wanted to try that steak house you recommended in Houston, but couldn?t make it), I hope you are all doing well. The forum is a bit slow nowadays, maybe this disease is slowing down, too ! I love this forum, it?s like my very own diary, like 2 years ago, when my new hematologist asked me my MDS history, I would open this page and let him know what procedures I went through. He was very interested in this forum !!

I?m working full time now. I?ve also been visiting my good dentist. All that chemo and of course the first lack of white cells once upon a time, didn?t help much to keep my teeth in good shape. I think I?m helping him pay his mortgage.

This October, my sisters and my brother (he?s my donor) are flying in to visit me. We?ll finally have our family reunion after so many years.
My prayers for everyone on this forum. Please take care of yourselves.
Meri
