It is painful for all of us to read about your Dad's decline, but I can only just imagine how it must feel to all of you who are his family. Given the fact that he is in so much discomfort, I wonder if you have considered the possibility of Hospice care. Hospice organizations (there may be a few different ones in your area) focus on compassionate care for people facing a life-limiting illness with palliative care tailored to the individual's needs and wishes. Support is provided to the person's loved ones as well. If you are interested, I'm sure you can get information from your Dad's doctor or by contacting the
National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization.
