Hi Chirley,
Good luck with getting rid of the pump!

I use compression stockings since many years to prevent sores at the ankles and if your doctors says it is OK you should be able to use one too for your swollen ankle. Then I try Hirudiod creme too to get rid of brown pigmentation over the ankles.
