I'm glad you'll be seeing Dr. Young at NIH.

On the football....that's a tough call. I don't know what's involved with 9 yr old football, but I'd have to err on the side of caution if there's tackling involved. If it's just exercises with throwing and kicking, I can see how that would not be too bad.

Do you know what his clotting times are? It takes more than platelets to clot and if he clots normally, then I think the risk is somewhat lessened. Not by much though especially if he gets knocked down. You have to be concerned with internal bleeding. If you let him go, have lots of ice on hand.

There are mom's here that can probably address this better than I. They have all had to deal with their kids activity levels.
