Fertility

I'm new so not quite sure if this is where this topic belongs (sorry if not)...I'm a spouse/caregiver of a patient with SAA who had a successful transplant 9/12/14. We have been waiting and waiting to see whether fertility would be an issue. We just found out that my husbands sperm count is 0 even though he had very little chemo/radiation. We haven't really gotten a full answer, just told that patients have seen fertility "come back" 6 months to 4 years post-transplant. So I'm just looking for any advice/life experience out there. Now is the time that we wanted to start having kids so I don't know if I should go see a specialist or if he should see someone else or if we should just go ahead and try using the frozen sperm and see how that goes or if we should save up the money to do IVF. We did freeze some sperm after he had a failed ATG treatment pre-transplant so there's still some hope I think. Any advice/real life stories are greatly appreciated. We're just feeling sulky today.
