It sounds very much like the thread about wheat grass. Some people swear by it and others have no benefit. I don't see why one would be a "respected" alternative therapy and one would be horse crap? They may both have the same properties of lowering ferritin and as a side effect allowing the Hb to rise.

As my haematologist said when I asked about taking wheat grass.....you can take a tablet or you can take wheat grass but wheat grass tastes like **** and you have to take an enormous amount of it.
