Pain Medication

From time to time, I need some pain medication for headache, back pain, etc.
I have very low counts in all three lines. Therefore, I cannot take aspirin, Motrin, Advil. I am allergic to anything with Codeine in it or any derivitive thereof. I can't take Tramadol: makes me sick. The doctor has told me to take nothin but Tylenol or some other product with Acetaminophen. However, I recently read on a site that lists medications that negatively affect platelets - that Tylenol also has a negative effect on platelet production. What is left? Does anyone out there have another medication they use for moderate pain?

Age 69 with MDS for 5 1/2 years. Refractory Anemia, Multilinea, Blasts < 5%, No Chromosome Involvement. Platelets in 20s or below. White Count 1.1-1.5.
Transfusion Dependent.
