AML Help

AAMDSIF is helping a third party find eight to twelve AML patients to participate in a research study. A $300 honorarium is offered to those who participate.

Who is eligible for consideration?
There are three criteria for inclusion in this study.

Participants must:
• Be over 50 years of age
• Have not completed intensive chemotherapy
• Be on an HMA (hypmethylating agent) or LDAC (low dose cytarabine) drug therapy regimen

How does this study happen?
Research study personnel will visit you at home, ideally with a family member, friend, or professional caregiver present. The visit will last about two hours.

What happens during this visit?
Your visiting team of research personnel for this in-home interview will ask you a series of questions (within established guidelines) about your daily life and attitudes as an AML patient, and this interview will be videotaped.

What are the dates and location?
Participants can be anywhere in the United States. Dates have extended through February.

Will participants be compensated?
There is compensation of $300 for each participant.
