I agree with CatherineJ. I also wanted to pop in on the conversation to warn that the depo shot isn't always the way to go either. When I was suffering with AA, they thought they would try the depo shot to get my periods to stop, but I ended up almost bleeding out. I had grapefruit sized clotting and never stopped bleeding with excrutiating cramping. I ended up hospitalized for about 4 days to get my bleeding to stop and pump me up with loads of blood. After that, they did say that with the depo, some people stop bleeding altogether and others start bleeding and never stop. Just a little heads up.
