When my daughter had gut GvH the nutritionist at the hospital made her drink Boost Plus drinks. We served it cold and she only drank a little at a time (get some dixie cups). Every hour she would drink some and it got some calories and nutrition into her. It isn't as good as eating a balanced meal but it is a lot better than nothing.

As of two years ago, Boost Plus came in Vanilla, chocolate and stawberry, while the regular Boost drink (not Plus, not as many calories) came in another 5-6 flavors. They aren't cheap, buy a couple small 4 packs to see what flavor he likes.
