It is good that you are aware of your counts and how you are feeling. Changes in blood counts are normal from week to week and month to month. You mention a sore throat, which could be caused by an infection. WBC tends to go down with viral infections, even in healthy people, and go up in response to bacterial infections. Withholding neupogen prior to a bmb might be done in order to get more accurate results.

As Naive mentioned, it is pretty normal to not give neupogen unless neutrophils are less than 1.0 - although it may vary.

Best course of action is always to consult with your doctor about questions around treatment and progression.
