Hi Chirley,
It sounds like you might need some Lasix if you are having trouble breathing after 3 units of blood which is a lot of fluid all at once. I think it takes more than an hour for the vascular system to equilibrate and give you a more accurate Hb reading. You may have indicated this in your other posts but what does your hematologist think is causing your recent need for transfusions? Is it because of the copper level or some other reason?
