Hi kirag1964,

ANC is Absolute Neutrophil Count and is an important number to track - even more so than WBC. Your ANC will tell how susceptible you are to infections. A low ANC is also one of the criteria used in diagnosing the severity of AA, should that be what you have.

Sometimes you will see PNH and AA together. Studies have shown that people with a small (subclinical) PNH clone are likely to respond to IST.
