iron stores in bone marrow
In comparing my sons last 2 bone marrow biopsies, his latest one shows that along with being hypocellular the report says that the iron stains are absent for histiocytic stores and no sideroblastic iron.
My understanding is that this is just something that happens when you are dealing with bone marrow failure---is that right?
