Hello Emma,

Same thing is happening to my Dad lately. January 7th his CBC was: WBC 1.5, ANC 0.8, RBC 1.77, HGB 5.6, HCT 17.2, and Platelets 8. Four units of blood and one unit of platelets brought his counts to WBC 1.5, ANC 0.4, RBC 2.66, HGB 8.5, HCT 24, and Platelets 28. By 11 days later, his CBC showed that the platelets dipped again (to 9), but today (1/23), his CBC shows that his platelets jumped to 30. He finished his previous cycle of Vidaza on 12/23, and just started it again today (5-weeks in between the cycles this time, due to his ANC and extreme fatigue.) October, November and December, his platelets hovered in the 30's and 40's. There was no explanation for the dip down to 8 earlier this month, but two weeks after that dip, they're working their way back up. Hope that helps.
