Can't speak for the US of course, but in Australia, I think it would depend on the individual haem-onc specialist. I was blessed to have someone who was prepared to organise infusions for me in different hospitals all over Australia for 18 months while we were being grey nomads in our campervan. My responsibility was to let her know 2 weeks ahead which hospital I would be attending and the details for the specialist she would need to fax with my details. She would then contact the Red Cross to organise the infusion and the hospital to organise a chair for me.

Dx MDS RAEB 10% blasts + hypogammaglobulinemia, Sep 2011. Jan 2012 BMB - blasts down to 2% w/out treatment so BMT cancelled. Re-diagnosis RCMD. Watch and wait from Feb 2012. IVIg 5-weekly. New diagnosis Oct 2019 AML 23% blasts in marrow, 10% blasts in peripheral blood.
