Temporarily?my daughter had a flu shot and only few minutes later had a blood test which reported 0.2 neutrophin count .we are having one more blood test but curious if anyone has any input on impact of flu shot on neutrophin count.
appu2015,

In normal cases, a flu shot causes no change in white count, or may make the white count rise slightly, so I don't think your daughter's flu shot contributed to her low neutrophil count.

From what I've read, it's OK to get a flu shot when you have a cold, but you shouldn't get the shot while you have a fever. You said in another thread that your daughter didn't have a fever, so that's good. Keep an eye on her temperature, and let the doctor know immediately if she develops a fever.

Note: There was a Flu shots and low WBC thread in these forums a couple of years ago, but that was for an MDS patient.
