Improved cord blood PSCT technique

I saw this article on the top of the BBC News Health section yesterday. It really gives hope to those who can't find a suitable matched donor out there!

I know in the UK, you can currently only donate cord blood at two hospitals in the entire country, one of which being Kings, where I had my transplant. I've already decided that if I can beat the odds and have a baby from the 7 frozen embryos we stored pre-transplant, then I will travel the extra few miles to have my prenatal care and delivery at Kings. As a transplantee, I can never give blood or become a bone marrow donor myself, so this is one way I feel I could give something back.
