How terrible with the infection with some agent that maybe is MRSA
!
They perhaps need the stent to give platelet transfusions before the new port is implanted? You know platlets should be flushed - I got platelets when my port was implanted 2 years ago but bled a lot so my port is situated on a hematoma.
I now understand that it is better to have a port that is lifted up a little because there is never any problems with the needles when I get blood transfusions and Desferal.
Nellie probably has low counts due to the infections - they always decrease counts.
