It's because the story was written before the marathon, and the author just slotted in my finish time at the last minute before publication.
I've got
a few photos from the Amsterdam marathon here if you'd like to see, though. I'm too cheap to spend the €€€€€ for the official race photos and videos so you'll have to trust me that I managed a sprint finish! And besides, my friends' photos from Km 26 and from the after party were much nicer anyway!
