Wish I had better things to say today.

Continuation of Don's illness.
Christmas eve Don suffered a bleed to the brain and spent almost a week in the hospital and was dismissed feeling that he was only suffering from some weakness on the left side. Then on the second of Jan. he had breakfast and I had helped him dress and get ready to go to the Dr. I was attempting to get him out of the house and into the car when his leg gave way and he fell again.
I had to have EMT's again and they felt he needed to go to emergency to be checked out. He was admitted again for 3 days this time, the bleed has shifted and the left leg is not functioning. The 4th of Jan the Dr dismissed him to Hospice care, telling us that Don's bone marrow has totally failed. He also told me that Don is suffering from a very aggressive form of MDS.
Who would have imagined his condition would change so much from a May/June diagnoises to this.
I count myself blessed that he is not a complaining patient.
I wish you all the best in you battle against bone marrow failure.
Geri
