Eli,

I think you have been doing a great job of keeping on top of Nellie's medical needs and being there for her as her husband too. You may find that even though the doctor says she has progressed to AML that not much has changed. It's mostly a matter of the blast percentage as to when the disease is called MDS/RAEB-1 and when it's AML. You need to stay alert to signs of infection, but you already know that. If you can help her get the rest she needs and enough nourishment to keep her spirits up, her body will have a chance to get better.
