I think the itchy spots can definitely be associated with higher risk MDS. When I was higher risk I kept getting what were like insect bites in various places on my body (not limbs). They disappeared when I became low risk. There have been others on the forum who have had the same symptom. In my experience some specialists aren't aware of some of the more unusual symptoms - perhaps because they haven't had a patient complain of those yet.

Itches can also be a side effect of transfusions/infusions.

I haven't come across the body odour issue. However researchers are using smell tests to train dogs to recognise cancer now so it's possible that body odour is another symptom.
