I am certainly no expert on this but I do know that fluid retention like what you have along with not passing urine can't be good for your heart, liver and kidneys. And the salt is adding to your edema.
If I was having your symptoms I would go to a cardiologist or an internist. Something isn't right and I do think your symptoms are cause for concern. It never hurts to get a second opinion.
