Hi Beth,
Good that Earl is getting Desferal that doesn't have so much adverse effects as for example Exjade. I have been treated with Desferal 2007 until 2010 without any problems. Exjade decreased my WBCs and I could never take more that 500 mg though I should have been taking 1 250 mg according to my weight.
The most important issue for Earl is that his counts will increase - I am sure that you are aware of that. We can only hope that they will start to improve after the 6th cycle of Dacogen.
