Cyclosporine and Cholesterol

Hi,

For the first time in my life, I have high LDL cholesterol. I eat healthy and am very physically active. After a quick google search, I learned that cyclosporine has been linked to increased LDL cholesterol in some people. Apparently, it binds to the bad LDL cholesterol and prevents the good HDL cholesterol from doing its job. For me, this resulted in a 30% increase in my bad (LDL) cholesterol levels!

For you long term cyclosporine users out there, has anyone noticed a similar increase in their cholesterol? Does it just keep on going up with continued cyclosporine usage? Also, do the LDL levels come back down once the cyclosporine dosage decreases or stops?
